LNER Class Pollitt Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway J10/4 0-6-0

Built 1896-1902. Designed by Pollitt.

Total Number Built ? - Total to BR 38.

A total of 124 J10 engines were built of which 78 were taken into BR stock.

Introduced 1896. Pollitt development of J10/2 with larger bearings and 4,000 gallon tender. 65145 later fitted with smaller tender and classified J10/6 by BR.

Some engines had Ross pop safety valves whilst others still retained the older Ramsbottom type.

Number Series 65126-65209 (with gaps - see Locomotive Numbers below).
