Peak class 45109 approaches Newcastle station with ecs which it will later depart with on a late afternoon, up Trans Pennine service.

Delivered by BR Crewe works in February 1961, this loco saw 25 years service across Midland mainline, ER, NE/SW and Trans Pennine workings, before being withdrawn in January 1986. It was cut up later that year at Vic Berry, Leicester in November 1986.
