EE Type 3 Class 37/0 37137 (D6837, 37312) at Newton on 26 April 1984

Motherwell ML MPD allocated 37137 piloting 37155 return double heading a down coal train.

Built by EE Vulcan Foundry in April 1963 and delivered new to Swansea Landore depot, this loco saw service around the regions. Renumbered 37312 in July 1986 with regeared CP7 bogies and a higher tractive effort for freight work, it reverted to 37137 in Feb 1989. Withdrawn by EWS after 40 years service (still in Mainline grey livery) it was cut up by TJ Thomson, Stockton in July 2006.
