LNER/BR Class O4/3 No. 63783 on Derby Works scrap line 31 August 1963.

A gaggle of trainspotters can be seen, two are inspecting the valve gear, one climbing into the cab, one in the tender and one on the cab roof. What would Health and Safety say about that today! The younger boy climbing into the can wears shorts while the two by the valve gear wear jeans with turn ups, the fashion in 1963. In this time period we see the first appearance of the duffle bag' and one boy wearing the infamous 'anorak'.
