Unrebuilt SR/BR Class West Country/Battle of Britain No. 34090 at Ashford Works open day 1949. (Thanks to Vic Smith for supplying the location and date)

Plenty of young trainspotters can be seen milling around and climbing up to the locos cab. Again, period clothes of blazers and short trousers abound. The loco was modified in August 1960 and withdrawn in July 1967.
