Built at EE Vulcan Foundry in March 1962; here allocated to Wigan Springs Branch SP depot, 40182 is stabled overnight at Carlisle Station. This loco was withdrawn in June 1982 after failing a D exam at Crewe TMD and later scrapped at BREL Crewe works in February 1984.
