Built EE Vulcan Foundry in March 1961 (D6712) and sent new to Stratford SF depot; here Eastfield ED allocated 37012 "Loch Rannoch" double heads 37144, hustling a rake of bogie ore empties from Ravenscraig to the ore terminal at Hunterston, on the Clyde river.

Transferred to ED in January 1981, it was named "Loch Rannoch" at Fort William on 31 March 1982, one of four locos twinned with Scottish lochs to mark the arrival of the Cl37s on to the West Highland lines.

Latterly withdrawn from Departmental use in March 2003 wearing Dutch livery, this loco was cut up in August 2003 at Sims McIntyre, Beeston
