Built by BRCW in July 1959, it spent most of its lifetime in Scotland, being withdrawn in 1993 and cut up at MC Metals, Glasgow in February 1995.

In this photo allocated to Inverness IS TMD, 26032 awaits departure on 2K02 06.55 Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh. You can see how Inverness station stands at the apex of a triangle; 26032 standing in the curved platforms for the lines to Kyle and the Far North, while the Mk3 Sleeper coach beyond, on which I had recently arrived from Glasgow, stands on the lines towards Aberdeen, Perth and the South. The loco carries the very necessary mini snowploughs and twin spotlamps required for service over the Highland rails.
