26014 awaits the off with an up ecs rake from Perth station. The No1 end is nearest the coach with the radiator cooling group under the roof mounted fan. At the other end can be seen the original white train reporting disks, subsequently removed from this class during the late 80's when the front ends were 'tidied up'. As originally built, the Class 26 had windows in their cabside doors.

Delivered by the BRC&W works in January 1959 as D5314 and eventually withdrawn in October 1992, this loco passed into preservation in November 1994 at the Caledonian Railway in Brechin, where it still runs.
