25296 hauls through empty Freightliner bogie flats. This was the last variant of the class - the Class 25/3, seen from the No 1 end with cleaner front having no loco connecting doors, dual braked and no train heating provision.

Built March 1966 by Beyer Peacock Ltd, Gorton Works as D7646, this was one of the last Class 25 variants. Re-designated into the small 25/9 sub-class on 13/12/1985 by Railfreight for expected minerals traffic business and to be allocated to Carlisle Kingmoor, this traffic did not materialise and the loco was eventually withdrawn for scrapping in November 1986.
