Built December 1961 at Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd, Darlington as D8108, here 20108 arrives at Perth hauling a down CCE ballast train. The loco was eventually scrapped at Kingsbury in October 2005.

Built December 1959 at Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn, Darlington as D8028; here 20028 stands outside Eastfield MPD on a quiet Sunday, resplendent after a major overhaul and re-paint. After 35 years service, it was scrapped by MC Metals, Glasgow in March 1995.

Built December 1959 at EE Vulcan Foundry as D8045; here 20045 stands at Carstairs in the down passenger loop, awaiting a path with an up track maintenance train. One of the crew is taking advantage of the pause, to refill their kettle in the station for a brew! The loco was scrapped at MC Metals, Glasgow in October 1991.
