English Electric Type 3 Class 37 No. D6760 at Thrornaby Shed 51L on 28 July 1963. The loco will eventually be renumbered to Class 37/0 37060, then Class 37/7 37705, withdrawn in February 2007.

Two trainspotters David Matthews and Geoff Hamsher, pose beside the loco. One is wearing a sheepskin jacket and slacks, carrying a BOAC bag. The other wears a anorak and long trousers.

English Electric Type 3 No. D6760 at Thornaby Shed 51L on Easter Sunday 18th April 1965, later to renumbered as Class 37/0 37060, then Class 37/7 37705. To the right is BR Sulzer Type 2 No. D5153, later to be renumbered as Class 25 No. 25003. To the left is English Electric Type 4 No. D399, later to be renumbered as Class 40 No. 40199.

A trainspotter walks between the locos wearing a school uniform of peaked school cap, blazer, short trousers and knee socks. Although being slowly phased out, shorts and caps were items of school uniform common at this time.

English Electric Type 3, Class 37 No. D6764 at Thornaby Shed 51L on Easter Sunday 18th April 1965 with a brake tender behind, later to renumbered as Class 37/0 37064 then Class 37/5 37515. The loco was withdrawn in February 2009 and cut up by TJ Thompson, Stockton on 20th July 2010
